ETnews reports that Samsung will release the new Galaxy S7 flagship line in the first quarter of 2016. They cite unnamed sources that state that the Galaxy S series refresh will come in two variants. The report states that the Galaxy S7 will have a 5.2 inch flat display (Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have 5.1 inch displays) and the Galaxy S7 edge will have a 5.5 inch display (Galaxy S6 edge+ has a 5.7 inch display) with the curved edges that have been very popular in the Galaxy S6 edge.
The report states that Samsung will initially produce around 5 million units in the new device line with 3.3 million units of Galaxy S7 being produced and 1.6 million units of Galaxy S7 edge being produced. These new devices are expected to be announced in February 2016 which would be right on time with previous years releases in this flagship series.
