The Dubai based online retailer LetsTango has a “coming soon” listing for an unannounced Samsung Galaxy S6 mini. They seem to know an awful lot about the device’s specs as well. The description of the device states only “Preliminary unofficial specifications”.
Rumors have been swirling all year about an S6 mini variant but for the most part they dried up before the holiday season. The rumored specs seem to be on par with many of the previous rumors. This would be a mid range device spec wise but (if these specs are correct) would have a fingerprint scanner and NFC which means that the device would likely be capable of utilizing Samsung Pay.

Based on today’s offerings and expectations, these specs represent a very mid range device. With some of the very compelling devices currently available that have comparable specs and great prices, where would a Galaxy S6 mini need to be priced to reel you in?
In my opinion, these specs are going to make it hard to play ball with other offerings that are available, including Samsung’s Galaxy A series phones. The specs listed on the retailer’s website just don’t add up. I would be surprised if we see a Galaxy S6 mini variant at all with the newest iterations in the Galaxy line most likely right around the corner.
The listing has now been pulled from the LetsTango website.
